About the Phoenix Zine

The phoenix is a mythological bird reborn from its own ashes when it dies. Dealing with chronic illness means rising from the ashes of the life you were ideally going to have, and having the courage to build a new life both sensitive to your medical needs and honouring to the fact you are not your illness. This site is a space where we can exchange thoughts, experiences and support to help you embrace your phoenix. I look forward to hearing from you.
